Exploring the cultural interplay between Europe and Australia.

From 8-10 May The Street Theatre opens its doors to the inaugural SEGUE 2015, a contemporary festival celebrating the cultural interplay between the continents of Australia and Europe and exploring the many creative influences generated by our shared history.   • Encoded from Stalker Theatre (Australia/Europe) - Visually stunning aerial dance-meditation on the fragility of space and our place in it with projected digital environment that responds to the movements of the performers.
  • Massacre from Castro/Stone & Colectivo 84  (Australia/Portugal) - An explosive theatre work about the politics and violence of East Timor
  • Delve Deeper: Working Between Cultures  - An intimate conversation featuring  theatre makers Paulo Castro, Lech Mackiewocz (Poland/Australia), John Romão, and  Ninna Tersman (Sweden/Australasia)
  • Fucking Parasites by Ninna Tersman  (Sweden/Australasia) - A playreading from and conversation with, one of Sweden’s leading playwrights
  • Aves Nocturnas with Convergence (Croatia/Australia) - Rare vocal treasures and intriguing personal tales from this dynamic Australia-Croatia collaboration
  • Baby et Lulu with Deux (France/Australia) - Australia’s seductive French-language duo take on the French Songbook
